The bad news is that most of those well known high paying investment businesses such as stocks trading, forex trading, and real estate investment requires a lot of capital plus a great deal of technical knowledge. In short, you need big money to make big money.

On the other side of the normal “investment business“, there’s a very fast and chaotic investing market where thousands of ordinary people participate. The earning percentages being offered are very high. Some program owners offer at least 2.5% daily, some 5%, and some whooping 10% daily income. In newer programs, some offer up to 200% in just 2 or 3 days.

For example, if you invest $100 then you’ll be getting a daily income of 10 a day at ten percent rate thereby gaining back your principal investment in just 10 days! If the program is set to mature within 30 days, then you’ll double your money within 20 days. It is important to bear in mind, however, that most programs with a very high earning percentage usually have a maturity date of less than 20 days.

These kinds of investments are popularly called High Yield Investment Programs (HYIP). According to Wikipedia, HYIP a type of Ponzi scheme, an investment scam that promises unsustainably high return on investment by paying previous investors with the money invested by new investors. Operators generally set up a website offering an “investment program” which promises returns as high as 45% per month or 6% a day, disclosing little or no detail about the underlying management, location, or other aspects of how money is to be invested.

So from Wikipedia’s point of view, it may not actually a good business model especially for those of weak heart and couldn’t afford to lose money. It’s not advisable for those who expect it as a real investment vehicle.

The truth is it’s rather a very obscure and very risky business model. Most are scams and all end as scams. It’s just that they vary in their length of operation. Some programs may operate for one month, some for two or several months, but most will last under a month. Some even operate for one day only – the fly by night scams. Some programs pay selectively (they only pay popular monitors and hyip bloggers), and some don’t pay at all.

However, for most people who play daily and knows exactly what risks they’re into but know what they do, it’s a very quick way to make big income. In fact, many of them make a quite decent income. Some even made themselves millionaires.

In essence, it’s win or loss investment game. It’s an investment world, where you should invest only what you can afford to lose. You should understand it’s a risky business. You play (invest) well, you’ll win. You play blindly, you’ll loss. You play smartly; maybe you’re a millionaire next year.
